Location description

Along the shore of the Lake Taxoma resevoir sediments from the Duck formation from the lower Cretaceous are exposed. Various fossils can be found here. In the soft marls you can find sea urchins. Ammonites occur in the hard limestones. The best is to collect at low waterlevel.

Denison is located in the north of Texas, north of Dallas. The resevoir is located 7 kilometers north of Denison. Parking at the space near the dam, and walk to the lake shore.
