Location description

At the Belgian coast near Oostende sometimes Pleistocene (part of the Quaternary period) fossils can be found.

The fossils can be found mainly in the winter months between the massive amounts of washed ashore recent shells.

Oostende is located at the beach in the west of Belgium. The Oosterstaketsen beach is located near the Fort Napoleon.
