Feldspar is a common mineral that occurs in igneous rocks such as Granite and metamorphic rocks. Feldspar belongs to the group of minerals called the aluminium-Tectosilicates. An estimated 60% of the Earth's crust consists of feldspars. Feldspar is divided into the Potassiumfeldspars containing Potassium, and Plagioclase containing Calcium.
