The WTKG (Werkgroep voor Tertiaire en Kwartaire Geologie) is an active nation-wide (The Netherlands) association for everyone collecting Tertiary and Quaternary fossils or who is interested in the geology of this time frame. The WTKG organises 3 to 4 meetings a year, on various locations. On these meetings, you come in contact with the other members, and you'll be able to exchange information and advice, discuss identification and listen to interesting talks by our speakers.

The association distributes two magazines: the quarterly contact magazine 'Afzettingen', with news of the association and members' articles, and the semestrial internationally recognised journal 'Cainozoic Research'. In addition, the WTKG organises several field trip each year, to Tertiary and Quaternary location in the Netherlands and abroad. A most iconic example are the Miste digs.
