Geology site description:

The best known National Park with fossils in de US. Here you can see impressive quantities of fossil logs from the upper Triassic period. The fossils occur in the Chinle formation. There is a visitors centre present. More than 200 plantspecies and 70 animal species have been found. Of course taking fossils home is strictly forbidden!
