Along the als road from Arad to Masada, Cretaceous successions are outcropping. In these deposits shark teeth can be found.

Arad is situated in the northeast of the Negev, on the edge of the Judaean Desert. The oucrops are along the 3199, about 20 km to the northeast of Arad, about 10 km from the Dead Sea.

Shark teeth from the Late Cretaceous, amongs others Scapanorhynchus texanus, Squalicorax sp. Cretolamna sp Cretoxyrhina mantelli and Ptychodus sp.
