Location description

In the Maja District, Lebak Prefecture, Banten Province, in the western side of Java Island, there is a so-calle fossil forest. The deposits in which these fossil tree trunks can be found belong to the Genteng Formation. The age of this formation was thought to be lower Pliocene.
