Location description

Lalaye is and old mining village. The waste tips in the vicinity of the village contain plant fossils from the Carboniferous.

There is a lot of coal in the woods. Some of the pieces might have fossilized plants.

Park at the village church. Follow the Rue des Mines about 20 minutes by foot. The locality is on your right hand side, up the hill.
