At the western side of the Eichberg mountain, near Blumberg-Achdorf, a massive landslide took place in January, 1966. The scars of this event are still visible today. Here, you can find fossils in 'Braunjura' layers (alfa to epsilon - Aalien, Bajocien, Bathonien). Minerals can also be found.

Blumberg can be reached over the B27. At the roundabout, follow Blumberg (Zentrum). Follow the Hauptstrasse through Blumberg, before reaching a sharp turn to the right, and a sharp turn to the left. Here, we descend into the Wutachdal, and after arriving in Blumberg-Achdorf, follow the road through the village (K 5742). About 600 m outside of the village, there is a small road to the right (mind that you can not drive into this road). At the end of the road, left. After about 250 m you'll see a cabin. Here, you can reach the location through the forest.
