Location description

Near Jamesville is a very large quarry where the Manlius and Onondaga limestone from the Devonian period is exposed. The most fossiliferous layers can be found in the upper part of the quarry. Local geological societies sometimes organize trips to this quarry. The quarry is abandoned, but fossils can still be found.
