Location description

In the Nally-Gibson quarry near Springfield, limestone from the Bull Fork formation, upper Ordovician period is exposed. On saturday mornings you can get permission to collect fossils here.

Springfield is located in the middle of Kentucky state, southeast of Louisville. The quarry is located southwest of Springfield.
