Location description

In a very large quarry near Ketton sediments from the Jurassic period are exposed. Sediments from the Oolite series up to the Oxfordclay are exposed. The Blisworth limestone is most fossiliferous. The limestone consists on oolite (small nodules of chalk).

In this active quarry groups can get permission in advance. The best way to collect here is to join an organized excursion.
