Location description

In coastal cliffs near Saltburn-by-the-Sea sedinments from the Hettangian, part of the lower Jurassic period are exposed. The best place to collect is at the foreshore at low tide. Near the cliffs there is danger of collapse! Beware of the tides!

Saltburn-by-the-Sea is located at the coast in the northeast of England, in Durham. The cliffs are located east of the village.
