Gorges du Verdon, France
Graptolite Didymograptus large
Near Gosheim is a ground dump site (erddeponie) where sediments from all parts of the Jurassic period can be found. From Hettangian to Oxfordian, but the accent is on sediments from the middle Jurassic. The fossils are in limestones.
Of coarse roadcuts and building sites in the area are interesting sites to look for fossils in the area. But at the erddeponie there is always a lot of material present.
Near Gosheim there are large variations in height. Therefore several parts of the Jurassic perion are present near the surface in the Gosheim region, and are also present at the erddeponie.
