Near Sümeg in Hungary there is a quarry where you can find fossils from the upper Cretaceous period. Along the road towards the quarry there is a large field at your left with a rock dump from the quarry. You can look for fossils here, but a lot of the material is broken.
Just before the actual working quarry there is an old quarry. Here are information panels with the occurring layers and geology. There is also study material, probably from a local geology club.
The working quarry is just after the parking place. Please ask for permission. They speak Hungarian, and a little German. Be carefull: they are working with explosives in the quarry.
