Location description

Is the area of the Osnabrücker Bergland limestone and shale from the upper Jurassic period are very close to the surface. When there is digging for construction work there are sometimes small temporary exposures of the rock.

The area north and west of Osnabrück. For example the area around Bramsche, Velpe, Hellern and Wallenhorst.

Many species of ammonites and belemnites. Bivalves are also found. Other fossils are rare.
