In the Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve is a quarry where you can collect fossils for free (only for your own use). In the quarry limestone and shale from the Devonian period is exposed. In the information centre you can learn about the history of the site.

The Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve and Center is located 1.5 kilometers west of Rockford in the north of Iowa state.
