In the Klein quarry in Coralville many fossils from the middle Devonian period can be found (Wapsipinicon and Cedar Valley group). In a second quarry (Conklin) the same formations are exposed. Local rock clubs sometimes organize trips to this quarries.

Coralville is located close to and west of Iowa city in Iowa state. The Klein quarry is located at the west side of Coralville, the Conklin quarry to the north.

Corals, stromatopores, bryozoans, bivalves, gastropods are common. Cystoids, trilobites, crinoids, orthocones and fish remains are less often found.
