Location description

On bare slopes near Ferrières les Verreries in the Gard region fossils from the Cretaceous period can be found. When it is not too hot you can spend an entire day here.

Go to St. Hippolite du Fort(D133), than in direction Pompignan. Use road D181 to Ferrières les Verreries. On the highest point of the road, just before Ferrières les Verreries, park left of the road. There you can go downwards through the bushes. At the bare slopes you can collect the fossils.
