Location description

At the rocky coast of Rhodes, you can find several types of fossils in the yellow limestones from the Pliocene (part of the Neogene period).

Notice! Collecting fossils in Greece is forbidden! There is no distinction in the law between archeological finds and fossils. In practice no one will bother a few small fossils, but all at your own risk!

There is a mineralogical-paleontological museum at Rhodos. See www.geomuseum.gr.
