In the area around Hinge en Ølst in the north of Denmark several claypits are located. In these quarries claylayers from the upper Paleocene and Eocene (part of the Paleogene period) are exposed. In the clay you can find various fossils.
You can ask for permission at the Leca factory in Hinge or the Optiroc in Ølst.
