Location description

The Lodbjerg Klint in the northwest of Denmark consists of glacial morene with clay lenses from the Oligocene (part of the Paleogene period). As a result of the wind and water, the situation can change rapidly here. Sometimes the clay is completely covered up. In the clay you can find fossils.

The Lodbjerg Klint is located about 40 kilometres south of Hanstholm in the northwest of Denmark. From Agger take road 181 in direction Hurup. After about one kilometre go left in direction Tøbøl. At Løstrup go left in direction Lodbjerg Fyr. Park at the lighthouse and walk to the coast. The collection location is about one kilometre south from here.
