Polychaeta
The Polychaeta or bristle worms are a group within the Annelida. The Polychaeta include the Serpulids. Serpulids form a hard tubular chalk skeleton that can fossilize easily. The jaw parts of polychaetes are found as microfossils.

Fossils of Polychaeta very common in some marine deposits, including those from the Cretaceous and Neogene. Often, they are found as epibiont on top of parts of other organisms.
