Marcasite

Marcasite consists of iron sulfide, and differs from Pyrite by another crystal structure. Under the influence of oxygen is the mineral has a rusty color. Marcasite is formed by deposition of minerals from groundwater and is found mainly in limestone. The chemical formula of Marcasite is FeS2. Marcasite is less stable than pyrite.
