Till is a variety of clay, deposited  by land ice or glaciers. This poorly sorted sediment is an accumulation of stones, and ice-crushed sediments, deposited right after the melting of land ice. Boulders are widely found in glacial deposits. Till is mostly clay-like and poorly permeable.
