Parasitism is a form of symbiosis between two species where cooperation is harmful to one of the species. An example of a parasite is a tick or flea. These parasites use blood from the host for itself. This is harmful for the host. In some cases, the parasite is lethal to the host. There are types of parasites which live on the outside of the living host, but also some live inside the body of the host.
