The class of Ostracodermi, part of the superclass Agnatha (jawless fish) are a group of primitive jawless fishes that were covered with an armor of bony plates. The fish were up to 30 centimeters long and hunted small prey on the bottom. The ostracoderms have become extinct during the mass extinction in the Late Devonian.
