Cruziana is a trace fossil which is probably made by trilobites. Similar traces have been found in Triassic sediments. These are probably made by other Arthropods, because trilobites became extinct at the end of the Permian era.

The trace is symmetrical with parallel diagonal burrows on both sides of the trace. These burrows or scratchmarks are made by the moving legs of the animal.

Example of a trace (Cruziana) of a trilobite.
