Comments:
Cross-bedding at Kerlingarfjöll in the middle of Iceland. These structures are probably caused by a sudden flood of water from under the ice sheet in the neighborhood. This so-called Jökullhaup happens when ice has melted under the ice sheet as a result of volcanic activity. When the water makes its way to the outside of the ice sheet, a huge tidal wave will occur. The rock is about 20 meters high.

Comments:
There are several theories about these structures. The traditional theory is that these are raindrop impacts, formed in the soft lime mud. A more recent theory is that the imprint of algal mats. The small circles were prints of air bubbles in the algal mats.
